Adults, teens, and tweens will enjoy a fun-filled and exciting 5K. Everyone in the family can be a part of this official DISNEYLAND® Half Marathon Weekend event.

The Family Fun Run 5K will take place on Saturday,September 5 and is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m.

Disneyland® Kids' Races

DISNEY'S KIDS' RACES Children up to age 8 can participate in kids' races ranging from the 800 meter run down to the 100 meter dash. Even the infants can crawl in the Diaper Dash at some events!

DISNEY'S KIDS' RACES AGE GROUPS

7-8 years old - 400 meter dash
4-6 years old - 200 meter dash
1-3 years old - 100 meter dash
12 months & under - Diaper Dash for crawlers only at Marathon Weekend

The Disneyland® Health & Fitness Expo is a two-day celebration focused on health and fitness. The event involves celebrity runner appearances, seminars on training, racing, and nutrition, along with the opportunity to experience the latest in running and fitness equipment.

SPEAKER SERIES

The Disneyland® Health & Fitness Expo features celebrity runner appearances and seminars on training, racing, and nutrition. Each seminar will last 30-45 minutes and will include Q and A and autograph sessions.

OFFICIAL RACE MERCHANDISE

A variety of Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend merchandise will be available for purchase at the Disneyland® Health & Fitness Expo.

TRANSFER POLICY

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If your registration for the 2009 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2009 race if you notify us in writing postmarked by July 15, 2009. Please note: You are still required to register for the 2010 race and your entry fee for the 2009 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2010 race.

ELIGIBILITY

Disneyland® Half Marathon

• To compete, you must be 14 years of age or older.

Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K

• All ages are welcome to compete. There are no restrictions.

Disneyland® Kids’ Races

• Children 11 and under.

PACING REQUIREMENT

Disneyland® Half Marathon

• All athletes entering the Marathon and Half Marathon must be able to maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race, finishing the Half Marathon in three and a half (3.5) hours or less.

Disneyland® Family Fun Run 5K

• All 5K participants will be required to maintain a 15-minute per mile pace in order to receive the finisher medal. Any participants unable to maintain this pace will be picked up and transported to the finish.

Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces will be picked up and transported to the finish. You can be picked up at any point along the course for not maintaining pace.

PROOF OF TIME
Corral placement is based on proof of time. If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon sub 2:45 hours, proof of time is required.

Acceptable forms of proof of time are either a photocopy of finisher's certificate or a print out of race results. All forms of proof of time must be from a marathon, half marathon or any race 10 miles or longer, after September 1, 2006. If you do not provide proof of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

If you are registered for the Half Marathon and did not provide proof of time, you will need to bring that proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booths after you pick up your race number and ChampionChip at the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, August 29 or Saturday, August 30. If no proof of time is provided, you will be placed in the last start corral. If you are a walker, please correctly mark the registration form so you may be placed in the correct corral.

PACKET PICK-UP
All runners must attend the Expo for race number and packet pick-up. All runners must bring the pick-up card, signed waiver, and photo ID and present them at the Expo in order to receive a race packet.

COMMEMORATIVE ITEMS

Action Sports International (ASI)  will be on the course and at the finish line taking your picture during the race. You can also look for them at the Family Reunion Area for group and family photos!  Remember to smile and keep your race number uncovered and in clear view.  Race photos will be posted approximately one week following the event.  ASI will email you your photograph proofs or you can visit www.asiorders.com after the race to view your race photos.
